delicate, creative, beautiful pastries!
i’m always on the lookout for dessert places, and fleur de cocoa did not disappoint! their cakes looked gorgeous, and there were about 15 different pastries that i was drooling over. they also make cute little chocolates and candies, coffee beverages, and a limited lunch menu. I loved everything i ate, and can’t wait to go back and try more!
Be forewarned though – it’s kind of on the pricey side (about $6 per individual cakes that would normally sell for about $3 at most places) – but i think it’s worth it. the quality of their cakes equals that of a dessert in a fancy restaurant that would sell it for even more, so i think their pricing is fair.
Dishes Tried:
dream
a dome of chocolate mousse, covered in dark chocolate ganache with banana flavored caramel in the center. i loved it.
Artichoke , sun dried tomato, and goat cheese quiche
lots of huge chunks of artichokes, loved the light tomato flavor. The goat cheese didn’t taste weird.
Spinach and feta quiche
the spinach is just overlayed across the top, so the quiche is much eggier than the artichoke one, but it’s really light and fluffy. feta is not overwhelming.
mocha cake
layers of cake and mocha mousse. good, but i’ve seen other cakes like it before.
