Falai Panetteria

Much less hip than it’s newer Soho sibling (Caffe Falai, which sadly isn’t even on this app yet), but has a good neighbourhood vibe. Very decent breads and pastries, some dishes can be a bit bland (I remember having a gnocchi that tasted of, well, potato…) and the seating needs a little rethinking.

Yes, the service may be forever slow but that is part of the charm at this quaint and simply decorated pastry shop that serves arguably the best croissants and coffee south of 14th street.
